Strata engages with Spatial on its latest scheme at Princess Anne Hospital Roof garden.
Helping to bring the benefits of in-person collaboration to the virtual world, Spatial enables us to easily connect with suppliers, project teams and NHS staff irrespective of their busy work schedules.
Within the Spatial platform, visitors can meander through a virtual model of our scheme for Southampton Hospitals Charity from their phone, tablet or laptop any time of day, and from anywhere. This makes it possible to engage with and collect opinions from the wider NHS community. The project design team have also been meeting up in the space for real-time discussions and feedback.
Always keen to embrace technology that drives better outcomes, using Spatial has enabled us to more effectively communicate our design intent for the roof garden, and gather the collaborative feedback necessary to arrive at the best design.
Additionally, staff and stakeholders can view the design and comment quickly – a must for our critical worker group – share the design with others and even have ‘fun’ in the interactive process; not a word you typically associate with staff or public consultations.
While Spatial has been an all-round winner at all stages of the design process for our Princess Anne Hospital roof garden project, it has particularly shone in certain tasks:
Key benefits for our scheme
Concept development
Client presentations and sign-off
Material choice
Design development with immediate real-time feedback
Identifying potential safety issues
Team meetings and enhanced collaboration
Construction sequencing
Sub-contractor on-boarding
We invite you to take a look at our model of the Princess Anne Hospital roof garden and leave your own comments. You can even grab a virtual coffee while you’re there!
The model has also been entered into the Interior Design Magazine’s Metaverse Architecture + Design Awards – the first of its kind within the architecture and design industry.
